Richard

   

Richard Carlisle was forged near Sheffield, South Yorkshire, but grew up in Bradford, West Yorkshire. At the age of 10 he got his first guitar.

 

  
 
  He passed Classical Guitar Grade 4 in 1995, but fear of the Grade 5 theory exam deterred taking any higher grades! He moved to London in 1997 to "study" Physics at King's College. Lived in Vancouver for the summer of '98. Finally graduated in 2001 then spent August to December in hospital after a motorcycle smash. Eventually overcame (totally illogical!) fear of performing in public and started gigging in 2004.  
 
   

Musical influences: The Police, Led Zeppelin, Smashing Pumpkins, Steely Dan, New Order, Air, Coldplay, Cardigans, Villa-Lobos, Bach 

Other influences: cycling, F1, gym, mountaineering, quizzes, drinking, science fiction, preserving the planet and it's life, green stuff (plants and so on.)
